Obituary for Geneva B Williams

Geneva Birch Williams was born October 22, 1927 to the late David and Marie Birch in Deland, Florida. She transitioned to be with the Lord on August 9, 2019 while being lovingly surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings: David Birch Jr., Betsy A. Dixon, Ethel, Willie, and Cleveland Birch. Her grandchildren: April and Tony Bletcher also preceded her in death.
Geneva attended Euclid Ave. School. On November 30, 1946 she was joined in marriage to James Williams (preceded her in death). To this union was born four children. Her daughter, Vanerio Young, preceded her in death.
Geneva was employed at Keller’s Cabinets and Brunswick Corp. as a factory worker for many years. She also produced “sharp crisp ironing” for a dry cleaner’s company from her home. She was dedicated to her craft.
A member of Miracle Bible Church of God under the leadership of Apostle Robert Lee Pryor she served as Head Mother of the church. As a born-again believer of 60+ years she received Christ under the late Bishop R.B. Hemingway and Pastor Mattie Hatcher. Her love for New Jerusalem Church of God never ceased. Accredited to her soul-winning purpose is her beloved sister-n-law, Evangelist Johnnye Birch, along with many others who were brought into the fold.
Mother Williams genuinely fulfilled the scriptures as a true servant of Christ. Her home on the corner of Adelle and Lisbon Pkwy housed, fed, clothed, and nurtured countless of individuals both related and unrelated, saved and unsaved. She was a Renowned Intercessor for the nation. Her prayer and sabbath time were very sacred to her. She was simply set aside for God’s purpose.
Her favorite song “Lord Prepare Me to Be a Sanctuary” was her testimony. She was forever, in mind and spirit, seeking higher heights and a deeper depth in Christ. Truly a servant also after God’s heart, divinely favored, a pillar to her community, fun loving, sassy talking, a good riding partner and selfless to those around her. ALL that she had she would give.
Geneva's presence was known throughout many central Florida churches. Her “Iconic” praise and dance will forever be impressed upon the hearts of all who knew her as she will always shine as a true Jewel for Christ.
Geneva leaves to cherish her memories, her three children: Evelyn Williams, Edward Williams (Elizabeth), Daveyette W. Washington; Brothers and Sisters: James Birch (Carolyn), Teresa Bell, Gregory Fields (Teresa), Patricia Tyson (Ron); Devoted Sister-n-law: Johnnye Birch; her grandchildren: James (Cynthia), Jeanine, David (Antiga). Charles (Iva), Christopher, Antoine, Entrance (Reginald), Thomas III, Robin (Ashley), Kyla, Vanerio (Jarvis), Darriell; 29 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grand.
